Abhijnan Rej

Abhijnan (“Abhi”) REJ leads Tarqeq’s research and development activities. A security analyst, scientist and modeller, his work spans strategic and security studies, mathematics and mathematical physics, economic policy, technology and applied research.

His security research has covered military strategy, nuclear deterrence, terrorism and insurgency, Indian defence and foreign policy, geoeconomics and Asian security. He has written extensively for policy and specialist audiences, and has lectured at military and diplomatic institutions and fora. His analysis has appeared in publications including The Washington Quarterly, War on the Rocks and the Lowy Institute’s Interpreter.

His early research focused on complexity and human behaviour, while later work revolved around quantum algebra and mathematical structures arising in high-energy physics and string theory. His scientific research has appeared in Journal of Physics A and the American Mathematical Society’s Contemporary Mathematics series. He has held research and teaching appointments at institutions in Europe, North America and India.

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and pursued doctoral research in mathematical physics at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, Bonn. He is a recipient of a Marie Curie Early-Stage Research Fellowship from the European Commission and a special Junior Research Scholarship from the Clay Mathematics Institute.

Rashmi Rekha Mishra
DESIGNATED PARTNER

Rashmi Rekha MISHRA curates and maintains internal and proprietary research databases at Tarqeq, and leads the firm’s administration and project management. She holds a first-class B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Mathematics & Computing from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. An accomplished artist, Mishra also holds a Chitra Visharad diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.
